Regatta
Excitement is building as preparations continue for the 2026 Long Point Regatta on Saturday, August 1. Many thanks to our convenor, Scott Weldon, for his leadership in organizing this year's event. If you have questions, or want to volunteer, contact Scott at s_weldon@hotmail.com.
Morning Mini Marathon
The mini marathon starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp at the Tennis Courts. All ages and participants are welcome!
Afternoon Events Schedule Reminder - Child & Adult Field Events Start First
The afternoon event program for the past few years has successfully started with the children’s field events (running, wheelbarrow) and adult Balloon / Shoe Toss, streamlining the afternoon program in a big way.
A schedule of events sheet will be distributed to every cottage in advance, including a QR code for mobile access to the events schedule, so please check your mailboxes as we get closer to Regatta day.
Regatta Dinner & Raffle Tickets – Tickets Available Online (Purchase Deadline is July 27) Enjoy the Regatta Dinner then stay for the after-party and dance the night away under the stars. The same online ordering system will be used again this year.
Dinner tickets for 2026 will again be $18 per adult, and $12 per child (10 years and under). Raffle ticket prices will also remain the same at $10 (per booklet of 10 tickets). Payments will be done through the website at the time of purchase. Credit cards only - no e-transfer or cash options.
Tickets are now available for purchase by clicking HERE or by copying and pasting the link below into your web browser: https://www.longpointbalsamlake.ca/shop?category=Regatta.
Because of lead times to order chicken from our supplier, the deadline for purchasing dinner tickets is July 19. If you have any questions about the Online Dinner / Raffle Ticket Order Form or purchase process, please contact our regatta convenor, Scott Weldon.
A reminder will be sent ahead of that date to ensure you can make your orders before the deadline.
Regatta Raffle – Please Donate a Prize!
A big thank you to Richard and Renata Trent for once again taking on the huge volunteer role to organize the Raffle this year. The Regatta Raffle is an important fundraiser for the Association and we encourage all cottages to donate a prize or contribute with a group prize. Please drop your prize off at the Trent Cottage by Friday, July 31.
Regatta Dinner – Shared Salad Bar
Each family is kindly asked to bring a salad (or salads) sized appropriately for your attending group to contribute to our communal salad bar, which will be set up near the chicken serving tables.
